All about the Dial a Ride service

What is the Dial a Ride?

We offer a pre-booked door-to-door transport service, using vehicles specially adapted for wheelchair passengers and improved accessibility. Our drivers are always willing to help!

 

When can i use it?

The service operates 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays).

 

Who can use this service?

Those living in the areas show on our map below who cannot easily access public transport are eligible for membership. This includes the elderly, disabled, parents with small children and people of any age living in rural isolation.

 

How much does it cost?

There is a small annual membership fee which is currently £10, and journey fares are calculated by distance. Diamond Travelcard holders are entitled to concessionary fares within B&NES on our services.

Current fares are:
Concessionary single journey £3-£6
Concessionary return journey £5-£10
Standard single journey £6-£13
Standard return journey £10-£24
